Dr. Takashi Kato of the University of Tokyo gave an invited lecture on “Toward the design of aqueous functional materials that harmonize with the corneal environment and respond to tear fluid.

The research results developed in the “Aquatic Functional Materials,” a new academic research area headed by Dr. Takashi Kato of the University of Tokyo, were a guidepost for those of us who aim to create materials that harmonize with the cornea and have a high affinity with tears.

It is a great honor for me to be able to speak in this context.
