event

On May 15, 2025, the first lecture of “Kawai Juku,” an educational program designed to systematically learn the fundamentals of polymer materials, was held. This course, launched as part of the Research Center for Green X-Tech’s human resource development support, will be conducted as a series of 12 sessions throughout the year.

Professor Kawai, who has extensive experience and deep knowledge in the field of materials science, serves as the director of the “Kawai Juku” program, and Professor Shirasu is in charge of the administrative office. The first lecture was attended by many participants, mainly graduate students and young researchers, and lively discussions took place.

This program aims to deepen the basic understanding of polymers and to foster next-generation talent who will support industry-academia collaboration and environmental material development. At the suggestion of the Center Director, GXT (the Research Center for Green X-Tech) is also actively supporting this initiative.

The program is scheduled to be held monthly in the future, and it is expected to be a great learning opportunity for GXT members and young researchers from partner companies.
