news

On July 1, 2025, Tohoku University established the “NanoTerasu Institute for Co-creation” and the “Global Coalition Institute” to promote the strategic use of the next-generation synchrotron radiation facility, NanoTerasu.

This institute will serve as a hub for promoting co-creation research and international collaboration centered on NanoTerasu, in partnership with research institutions and companies both in Japan and abroad.

As a collaborating organization, the Research Center for Green X-Tech (GXT) will further strengthen international co-creation and industry-academia collaboration centered on NanoTerasu. This is expected to lead to strengthened collaboration with international researchers and further development of personnel exchange for GXT.

Moving forward, GXT will continue to deepen its collaboration with NanoTerasu as a common platform and disseminate Japan-born green innovation to the world.
