Associate Professor Yoshiaki Kawagoe has been appointed to the Soft and Functional Materials Research Division of the Research Center for Green X-Tech, effective October 1, 2025, under the Tohoku University International Distinguished Researchers Program.

Associate Professor Kawagoe specializes in advanced materials science and has already achieved outstanding research results.

With the addition of this new member, further deepening of research and development in the green field, and the acceleration of innovation through industry-academia-government co-creation are expected.

The Research Center for Green X-Tech will continue to promote interdisciplinary integration and advanced research activities toward the realization of a sustainable society.
