Professor Komatsu Delivers a Lecture at Quantum Square – Discussing the Future of Quantum Technology.
Professor Kazuhiko Komatsu of the Research Center for Green X-Tech spoke at “Quantum Square,” a special program within “NexTech Week [Autumn],” a comprehensive exhibition for next-generation technologies held at Makuhari Messe on October 9, 2025.
This event brings together leading researchers and companies from industry, academia, and government to present the latest research findings and use cases, with an eye toward the social implementation of quantum technology.
Professor Komatsu delivered a lecture on the research and development of the quantum machine learning common library he is currently working on. This library is a fundamental technology that aims to maximize the potential of quantum computers while enabling applications in fields such as materials development and simulation. It is attracting attention as a crucial element that will support the future social implementation of quantum technology.

In his lecture, Professor Komatsu also touched upon collaboration with green materials and advanced simulation, as well as the synergistic effects with sophisticated measurement technologies like NanoTerasu, communicating to the industry the potential for innovation through the fusion of quantum computing and data-driven research.
Moving forward, the Research Center for Green X-Tech will continue to promote interdisciplinary research utilizing quantum technology to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
